🎬 The Mallet Foundation introduces the Foot Lift Orthosis
Today, the Mallet Foundation unveils the foot lift orthosis in a brand new video!
Also known as an ankle-foot orthosis, the foot lift orthosis is a medical device designed to assist people who have difficulty lifting their foot when walking. It is often used by individuals with neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, or strokes (cerebrovascular accidents). It attaches around the ankle and foot, providing support and stabilization that help maintain the foot in a dorsiflexed position, thereby facilitating walking by reducing the risk of falling.
The foot lift orthosis was created to improve safety, stability, and smoothness of movement during walking, allowing individuals to regain some autonomy in their daily activities.
